On February 26, 2026, Fragmented Sequence, a solo exhibition by Michelle Medenblik (curator Hagai Ulrich), will open at Nulovz Gallery in Kiryat HaMelacha, Tel Aviv.

The exhibition presents two bodies of work based on the lens, in video and photography. The video work (30 min., 2026) is composed of hundreds of screenshots collected over the years from films and television series. Medenblik began taking screenshots during the COVID lockdowns in 2020, but continued the process to this day. Over the course of this process she created an extensive archive of images in which the word “truth” appears, each time in a different narrative and visual context. In this way an archive of reflections accumulated, which was assembled into a continuous discourse that addresses the concept of truth through subtitles written before the viewer’s eyes, below and above the image. Alongside the video a series of twelve framed prints of hazy backgrounds is presented, blurred spaces devoid of figures, similar to one another in viewpoint and structure.
